Burnett enthen Ryan came in to close it out now runs alowed but now I've been to 3 MLB games but they where all Jays games and the only one they won was the Yankees game and the Jays lost to Rays and the Indians and when the Ottawa Links and the Ottawa Rapids were playing I went to old Link stadium to see the Can-Am league and one game Ottawa beat New Jersey 18-7.Eric Tomshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00632341548970196518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5189275224890954202.post-40414225404912490222009-08-04T12:42:59.627-07:002009-08-04T12:42:59.627-07:00I was 44 or maybe 45 when I saw my first major-lea...I was 44 or maybe 45 when I saw my first major-league game. I've never been to the Rogers Centre, so I'd like to hear what you think of the stadium.

Are the seats good for watching the game? How is the food? Was the game you went to one where the roof was open? Anything you can tell me about the stadium would be great.

Keep up the great work.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14341770328542116138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5189275224890954202.post-46341916545752857442009-08-03T09:27:53.597-07:002009-08-03T09:27:53.597-07:00I wish I would have recorded the first game I atte...I wish I would have recorded the first game I attended! I was hoping to go to Wrigley again when I visit Chicago next month, but the Cubs won't be in town.

Great start to the blog, Eric. I probably watched them play the Blue Jays back when Dave Steib, Jimmy Key, Willlie Upshaw, Jesse Barfield, and crazy karate-chopping George Bell were on that early 80s squad.

You'll always remember, Eric, that you saw the Yankees lose at your first MLB game. His younger brother is the same age as you, but he went to an amusement park instead.

When you and your dad come to NY, we'll have to go to a game!Jason @ IIATMShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11675184282951841175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5189275224890954202.post-18830896023657043432009-08-02T12:00:51.229-07:002009-08-02T12:00:51.229-07:00I'm too old to remember my first game but I we...I'm too old to remember my first game but I went to a lot of Tigers games at the late, great Tiger Stadium.

I do remember an utterly fantastic game in September of 1987, between the Jays and the Tigers, who were tied for the division lead. It was back and forth and a guy by the name of Dave Berkman had the greatest at-bat I've evenrseen, fouling off about 20 pithes to hit a home run to left-center to win it. The Tigers eventually won the division but lost the ALCS to the Twins who won the Series that year. I loved the rivalry with the Jays during those years, when both teams were very good.

Keep up the good work.F. It was the Milwaukee Brewers against the Houston Astros. I don't remember the score but my team, the Brewers, lost. I didn't mind. I don't live in the US or Canada so I don't get to go to many MLB games. I was happy just to see my team for the first time.

Keep up the good work you are doing here, Eric! I like what you write, so I'm putting your blog on my RSS feed. :-)amarihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17026577954248900799noreply@blogger.com
